•  Guided tours of the Dinokeng* area

Dinokeng is 281 000 hectares filled with activity and things to do. That's why they say that in Dinokeng you see Africa in one day.

Dinokeng consists of many game reserves and conservancies, which are being linked together and restocked with game. It has the potential to form a large Big Five game reserve in the near future.

Dinokeng also offers visitors a rich cultural and historical experience. This is where the world's largest diamond (3 106 carats) was discovered in 1905. The quaint Victorian village of Cullinan is a treasure house of history and rich in arts, antiques and museums.

Fireside theatre, storytelling, sangoma consultations, indigenous music, dance and drumming displays are an unforgettable experience as true to the nature of Africa as you'll get.

Surface and underground mine visits are equally memorable.

The Mandela craft fair is a must for mementos and gifts and has a wealth of craft and cultural merchandise made by local communities on display.

The name Dinokeng means "a place of rivers". It lies in the catchment area of two rivers that flow into the Olifants and Limpopo rivers making it an exceptional outdoor destination. For the wild at heart there are endless activities to partake in from hiking, mountain biking, hunting or pigeon shooting and boating to microlight flips. For the more laid-back there are tea gardens, restaurants, pub or shebeen cruises and village shopping. The Rust de Winter dam offers great recreational facilities for day visitors.

True to its symbol, a calabash, the Dinokeng area represents hospitality and prosperity. For more information on Dinokeng visit the website www.dinokeng.co.za
